The Fuego Project

The journey will take us from the north of Alaska to Tierra Del Fuego in Patagonia on bicycles.

Starting in Prudhoe Bay, Northern Alaska above the Arctic Circle we plan to ride an on-road and off-road adventure for over 18,000 miles travelling through Alaska, Canada, Northern America, Central America, and the length of South America ending in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina in the southern port of Ushuaia.

It’s not about completing however many miles the trip may take, but more so about the things we’ll encounter on our way:
Being outside in nature and the elements, taking each day as it comes, depending on our bicycles, the gear we tow and each other. Meeting with animals, birds and people, seeing beautiful and maybe not so beautiful parts of the world and enduring tiredness, endless roads, sun, rain, snow, wind and rough roads.

In a time where there is finally more awareness towards climate change, and the fact that we human beings are responsible for the damage done to earth, we hope to bring about positive change by raising more awareness of our impacts on planet earth.

Our aim is to travel in a sustainable manner, by using renewable energy during our trip, with a solar panel to charge lights and batteries, and off-setting carbon emissions for our flights.

We also aim to raise money by asking our family, friends and anyone inspired by our trip to sponsor us. All funds will be directed to specific nature conservation projects managed by WWF.
